Pritchards Island is a pristine example of the Sea Islands that dot the coast of the Lowcountry. This treasure will be used by USCB to support educational, research and outreach activities on the island with assistance from an appropriation from the State. Still, additional funds are needed for to purchase a large educational vessel and small research vessel, a passenger van to transport students & researchers, and laboratory and field equipment. With your help we can be effective stewards of Pritchards Island measuring the impact of environmental change on the coastal Lowcountry, supporting the continued monitoring of Loggerhead nesting and many other critical studies of ecological, cultural, and economic impact to the Lowcountry.
